Residents in North Jakarta can now use parallel connections of
parabola antennas for Star TV broadcast. By using this parallel
connection, the broadcast can be received within the immediate
neighborhood. Obviously the connection is made without permission
of the authorities (Department of Information or other
institutions). It is done by an illegal amateur agent. The
customer can contact the head of the neighborhood for such a
connection.

In the beginning the cable connections were done in secret,
but now it is an open practice. They have erected posts along the
road in Muara Karang and Pluit, North Jakarta, with a network of
cables crossing one another.

If this illegal practice is left unchecked I am afraid the
situation will become worse and may spread to other cities. I
call on the authorities to take necessary measures to stop such a
practice before it's too late.
