Pangkalpinang (ANTARA) - The Class II Health Quarantine Centre (BKK) in Pangkalpinang, Bangka Belitung Islands Province, is equipping prospective Hajj pilgrims (JCH) at high risk with lists of personal medications related to the illnesses they suffer from. “High-risk prospective Hajj pilgrims must receive special accompaniment from Hajj officials so that they can properly carry out the series of Hajj rituals in the Holy Land of Mecca,” said the Head of the Class II BKK in Pangkalpinang, Agus Syah, in Pangkalpinang on Saturday. He stated that Hajj officials must provide two categories of accompaniment to high-risk prospective pilgrims: accompaniment with medications related to the illnesses suffered by the pilgrims, to prevent any unwanted incidents that could disrupt their performance of the Hajj rituals in the Holy Land of Mecca. Hajj officials also provide accompaniment with equipment, such as walking sticks and wheelchairs for prospective pilgrims with special needs and the elderly. “We hope that prospective Hajj pilgrims in better health will help those with special needs and the elderly, so that these high-risk pilgrims can perform their worship properly and become accepted Hajj pilgrims,” he said. “We have prepared special services for these high-risk prospective pilgrims, such as providing wheelchairs, rest rooms, and special transit rooms for high-risk pilgrims,” he added. He urged special pilgrims, particularly those at high risk, to always maintain their health and prepare medications to handle their illnesses while performing worship in the Holy Land of Mecca. “We express our thanks to the BKK for providing the list of medications for these high-risk prospective pilgrims, as it greatly facilitates Hajj officials in handling any health disruptions during the Hajj rituals,” he said.
