PAM JAYA is continuing its programme to distribute free water storage tanks to Jakarta residents. The programme is a follow-up to the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the DKI Jakarta Provincial PKK Team and Daya Wanita PAM JAYA.

The MoU agreed upon community social assistance for Jakarta residents. The programme targets the distribution of 2,000 free water tanks in 2026, to be delivered in stages across all areas of Jakarta.

The objective is simple yet highly impactful: to help ensure the availability of quality water in every customer’s home, particularly for residents located far from water supply points or in areas with limited water pressure.

The initial phase of the programme has delivered 100 tanks in the Padamulya area, Angke, West Jakarta. Currently, a further 150 tanks are being distributed to residents in Kamal Village, Kalideres District, West Jakarta.

Distribution will continue to other areas in stages so that the benefits can be felt more widely.

The recipients of this programme are PAM JAYA customers in categories 2A1 and 2A2 with building areas of less than 70 square metres, ensuring that the assistance is well-targeted and reaches communities that genuinely need support with water storage facilities.

“We feel greatly helped because we don’t need to buy a water tank. This is very useful for our family,” said Sri, one of the tank recipients, in a written statement on Tuesday (24 February 2026).

“Thank you for the attention from the Governor, PAM JAYA, and the local government officials,” she added.

PAM JAYA President Director Arief Nasrudin stated that the programme is part of efforts to strengthen service quality from the customer’s perspective.

“We understand that water access is not only about the piping network, but also about how water can be properly stored and utilised in residents’ homes. Through this free water tank programme, we are greatly assisted by the cooperation with PKK, enabling us to help families in Jakarta have safer and more stable water reserves, particularly in areas far from supply points,” said Arief.

“Similarly, with the free new connection programme for 2A1 and 2A2 customers, the aim is to facilitate water access for every resident. The target of 2,000 tanks in 2026 is a form of our commitment to ensure the benefits are felt more widely and equitably,” he added.

Through collaboration with the PKK, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, and various regional bodies, PAM JAYA hopes the programme will not only serve as physical assistance but also contribute to strengthening household-level water resilience and supporting the quality of life for Jakarta residents on a sustainable basis.

Demonstrating full support for the programme, which is directly oriented towards the basic needs of the community, the inspection and handover of the tanks was attended by DKI Jakarta PKK Chairwoman Hani Pramono Anung and Deputy Chairwoman Dewi Rano Karno.
