More than 20 ships crossed the Strait of Hormuz on Saturday (18/4/2026). Data from shipping analytics firm Kpler recorded this figure as the highest since 1 March.

This movement indicates that energy shipment activities continue. Tensions in the Middle East region have not halted ship traffic.

Several ships carried various commodities. The cargoes included crude oil, gas, and fertilisers.

Three of the ships transported liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). These ships were each heading to China and India.

The Panama-flagged tanker Crave carried LPG from the United Arab Emirates. This ship is en route to Indonesia.

Two other tankers, Akti A and Athina, carried refined products from Bahrain. Akti A is heading to Mozambique, while Athina is bound for Thailand.

The Liberia-flagged tanker Navig8 Macallister carried around 500,000 barrels of naphtha from the United Arab Emirates. The final destination of this ship is Ulsan, South Korea.

The India-flagged ship Desh Garima carried around 780,000 barrels of Das crude oil from the United Arab Emirates. This ship is moving towards Sri Lanka.

The Ruby ship carried fertiliser from Qatar to the United Arab Emirates.

The tanker Merry M carried petroleum coke from Saudi Arabia to Ravenna, Italy.
