"Through this forum, more than 100 companies operating in Southeast Sulawesi have signed memoranda of understanding with the regional government. This commitment is expected to serve as a concrete first step towards accelerating investment realisation," Parinringi explained.

He stated that the investment targets set by the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) must be fully realised in 2025. Previously, Southeast Sulawesi had recorded high achievements during the 2019–2021 period, particularly when mining industry activity surged.

"In 2024, our investment reached Rp 11 trillion. This year we are targeted to at least match that achievement, or even surpass it," he added.

The Southeast Sulawesi Investment Summit featured a number of speakers from the business community and government agencies, including PT Tani Prima Makmur, PT Ifishdeco, and PT Kendari Kawasan Industri, who shared their experiences and business development strategies in the province.

From the government side, attendees included the Head of the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda), the Head of the Southeast Sulawesi High Prosecutor's Office, and the Head of the Southeast Sulawesi Energy and Mineral Resources Agency (ESDM).

This cross-sector collaboration is expected to strengthen synergy in building investor confidence and maintaining a conducive and sustainable business climate in the region.
