Outstanding KUR Affected by Sumatran Disaster Reaches Rp11.23 Trillion
Jakarta — The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) has recorded total outstanding People’s Business Credit (KUR), or remaining loan obligations owed by disaster-affected UMKM entrepreneurs in Aceh, North Sumatera, and West Sumatera, reaching Rp11.23 trillion as of 10 March 2026.
This figure comprises 193,708 borrowers who are now priority recipients of recovery measures through post-disaster KUR relaxation policies.
UMKM Minister Maman Abdurrahman, in a statement in Jakarta on Thursday, said that Aceh province carries the largest outstanding burden at Rp7.15 trillion from 121,984 borrowers.
In North Sumatera, Rp2.43 trillion was recorded from 44,049 borrowers, whilst West Sumatera accounted for Rp1.64 trillion from 27,640 borrowers.
“Economic recovery in the three disaster-affected provinces is being carried out through provision of simplified access to financing, restoration of production capacity, and expansion of market access for UMKM entrepreneurs,” said Maman.
Maman explained that KUR-recipient UMKM entrepreneurs affected by the disaster will receive special treatment divided into three periods until their businesses recover.
The first period is the disaster impact assessment phase, which runs from 24 November 2025 to 31 March 2026.
