Order in Pasar Minggu
Order in Pasar Minggu
From Jayakarta
The area around the Pasar Minggu bus terminal in South Jakarta looked rather orderly on Friday. Although it was still crowded with a huge number of public transport vehicles, the drivers behaved well. No vehicle were stopping and waiting for passengers at the terminal exit and as a result the vehicles queuing behind did not have to wait long.
Usually, many buses and minibuses stop to wait for passengers at the exit, causing a serious jam. The drivers behind them usually sound their horns, adding to the chaotic atmosphere. However, it was unusually orderly on Friday due to the presence of two officials of the City Land Transportation Agency (DLLAJ). They worked hard to prevent bus drivers from stopping at the exit.
If only the situation could last! People would love to shop at the nearby Pasar Minggu market, especially if the city sanitation workers helped make the area clean. As it is, there is always a heap of garbage near the Pasar Minggu market, especially in the morning, causing a bad smell, especially on a rainy day.
I believe there are many other people who would like to see the Pasar Minggu bus terminal and market cleaned up, so it is nice and orderly. When order is in place, neither public transport drivers nor the passengers will be easily worked up.
I would like to express my gratitude to the DLLAJ officials who have performed their duty well.
