Oracle, NEC tie up

JAKARTA (JP): Oracle Asia-Pacific, a division of the world's leading information management software vendor, and NEC Corp. announced Thursday a partnership for the Asia-Pacific region.

NEC announced the two firms signed an agreement on a strategic alliance in the marketing of Oracle Software, Oracle Applications and NEC Servers in the Asia-Pacific.

The relationship positioned NEC as Oracle's strategic partner in the region and also positioned Oracle as the leading database provider for NEC's customers in the region.

The alliance would exploit appropriate business opportunities in the Asia-Pacific market such as banking and financial, telecommunications, governmental systems, manufacturing and other markets. (icn)
