JAKARTA - The Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri) Tito Karnavian revealed that the government will officially announce the work-from-home (WFH) policy tomorrow. The policy is planned to be implemented for one day per week for civil servants (ASN) and private sector workers. “Just be patient, just be patient, I hear it’s very likely, possibly, to be officially announced tomorrow,” said Tito at the Parliamentary Complex, Jakarta, on Monday (30/3/2026). Tito also declined to reveal details of the WFH policy until after the official announcement. Following the official announcement, Tito, as Mendagri, will also provide further directives to local governments (pemda). “There will definitely be,” Tito said briefly. Previously, Coordinating Minister (Menko) Airlangga Hartarto also stated that the work-from-home policy would be set in March 2026. “It will be set this month,” said Airlangga after a meeting with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto at the Palace Complex, Jakarta, on Friday (27/3/2026). According to him, the government still has a few days before the WFH policy is officially announced to the public. “There are only a few days left in the month, so there’s still time,” Airlangga said briefly.
