On H+4 of Lebaran, 53,000 Vehicles Return to Jakarta via MBZ Toll Road
PT Jasamarga Jalanlayang Cikampek (JJC) recorded 53,189 vehicles returning to Jakarta via the Mohammed Bin Zayed Elevated Toll Road (MBZ) on H+4 Lebaran, or Wednesday (25/3). This figure represents a 140.78% increase compared to normal traffic of 22,090 vehicles. Meanwhile, the volume of vehicles leaving Jakarta was 29,502, which is 35.41% higher than the normal traffic of 21,787 vehicles. Managing Director of PT Jasamarga Jalanlayang Cikampek, Hendri Taufik, stated that the data indicates traffic on the MBZ Elevated Toll Road is still dominated by vehicles heading to Jakarta. Therefore, he urged road users to plan their travel times to avoid congestion. “We urge road users to plan their journeys outside the predicted peak times to avoid return traffic density, taking advantage of the 30% toll discount on 26 and 27 March 2026 for continuous travel from Kalikangkung Toll Gate to Cikampek Utama Toll Gate,” said Hendri in his statement on Thursday (26/3). Hendri also advised road users traversing the MBZ Elevated Toll Road section to prioritise safety. “Road users are expected to ensure the driver and vehicle are in prime condition, maintaining sufficient battery power and fuel (BBM),” he said. “And to anticipate potential weather changes, especially rain that can affect visibility and road surface conditions, so that the journey can proceed safely and comfortably to the destination,” he added.
