Chief Executive Officer of the Danantara Investment Management Agency, Rosan P Roeslani, stated that Danantara Indonesia has acquired partial shares in ride-hailing applications. However, Rosan declined to provide further details regarding Danantara Indonesia’s actions. “We (Danantara) have already entered and will continue to increase (our shareholding) gradually,” Rosan said at the Office of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs in Jakarta on Tuesday (5/5/2026). Previously, Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives Sufmi Dasco Ahmad mentioned that Danantara Indonesia had purchased partial shares in ride-hailing applications. One of the objectives is to reduce the commission cut taken from drivers from 10-20% to 8%. With the government acquiring partial shares in several ride-hailing applications, he believes their systems and policies will be gradually adjusted. Nevertheless, the primary focus, he said, is the government’s effort to lower the commission rate. “The first priority is to reduce the fees taken by the applications. Previously 20 or 10%, so the applications will only take 8% of the collected amount,” Dasco said.
