Oki's trial adjourned

JAKARTA (JP): Yesterday's session of the trial of Harnoko Dewantono, alias Oki, was adjourned when three persons lined up by the government prosecutor to stand as witnesses failed to show up in the court.

Prosecutor J. Kamaru told the court, presided over by I.G.K. Sukarata, that witness Sukartini, Oki's mother, who had been scheduled to testify first, was ill.

There were no explanations for the absence of the two other witnesses: Gita Setiani, once Oki's girlfriend, and Haryadi, alias Mardi, who once worked as Oki's servant.

Oki is being tried for an alleged triple murder in Los Angeles which took place five years ago. (26)
