The Financial Services Authority (OJK) is set to issue a special policy regarding the Financial Services Information System (SLIK) to support the subsidised housing programme for the public.

Housing and Settlement Areas Minister Maruarar Sirait conveyed hopes and field-level issues related to SLIK. “We welcome what the Minister has conveyed, and we, God willing, will issue a special policy on SLIK,” said OJK Commissioner Chairman Friderica Widyasari Dewi in Jakarta on Monday (13/4/2026).

Friderica, familiarly known as Kiki, explained that SLIK aims to provide a track record to financial service actors regarding individuals, as well as to encourage public responsibility in financial behaviour.

“However, we understand those concerns, so we will set a threshold for the information submitted in SLIK, not from zero. Currently, even one rupiah, two rupiah, three rupiah is recorded. This is an effort to support the President of the Republic of Indonesia’s programme,” she said.

Additionally, the National Housing Savings Management Agency (BP Tapera) is deemed to be greatly assisted if it gains access to SLIK.

Kiki stated that OJK views BP Tapera as a trusted state institution to access SLIK in order to simplify and accelerate the financing process for low-income people (MBR) in obtaining housing.

“Furthermore, regarding SLIK, developers previously complained that payment clearance information only appeared after a long time, up to 1.5 months. Now we are making technical adjustments and ensuring a maximum of three days,” she said.

According to her, payment clearance or financial record change information in SLIK will be visible more quickly to developers and can be forwarded to banks so that the financing process can proceed.

“There were also several other matters conveyed by the Housing Minister earlier. We welcome them and still need an internal consolidation process before further announcements,” she added.

Kiki hopes the special SLIK policy can be announced next week. In principle, OJK supports the government’s programme, including the target of building 3 million homes for the public, especially MBR.

On the same occasion, Housing Minister Maruarar Sirait welcomed the policy plan.

“To be honest, I am very pleased today and will report directly to the President of the Republic of Indonesia that the OJK Chairman is very responsive to issues in the 3 million homes programme, especially complaints from low-income people and developers regarding SLIK,” said Maruarar.

The Ministry of Housing has held five meetings with OJK to discuss SLIK issues.

“This is the fifth meeting. So far, we have gone to the field and found people who want to buy subsidised homes hindered by SLIK. In addition, developers have long voiced this,” said Maruarar.

OJK’s SLIK is a system containing debtor credit history information, including payment smoothness and collectibility status. That data is one of the main considerations for financial service institutions in determining credit approval for prospective customers.
