OJK Revises SLIK Rules to Accelerate Distribution of Subsidised Mortgage Loans
JAKARTA - The Financial Services Authority (OJK) is preparing improvements to the Financial Information Service System (SLIK) policy to accelerate the distribution of subsidised Home Ownership Credit (KPR) for low-income communities (MBR).
Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) Maruarar Sirait emphasised that issues with SLIK have so far been one of the main obstacles in the field.
Although the government has issued policies on exemptions for BPHTB and PBG, as well as an increase in the subsidised housing quota, SLIK remains a constraint on home ownership.
“I have heard directly the complaints from the public who want to own a home. The President’s commitment to the subsidised housing programme through the FLPP (Housing Finance Liquidity Facility) scheme is also very strong. Therefore, we need to ensure that field-level policies truly facilitate this,” said Ara, quoted from an official statement, Tuesday (07/04/2026).
Meanwhile, OJK Commissioner Chairman Friderica Widyasari Dewi reaffirmed OJK’s commitment to supporting the acceleration of the housing programme for MBR.
“We will prepare various supports so that SLIK does not become an obstacle, but rather supports the acceleration of housing access in line with the President’s targets,” she stated.
As a concrete step, OJK will accelerate data updates in the SLIK system, where the credit status of debtors who have settled will be targeted to be updated within a maximum of three days (H+3).
In addition, OJK is also preparing follow-up policies, including regulations related to the SLIK threshold.
OJK is also opening opportunities for cross-sector collaboration with various stakeholders, including the People’s Housing Savings Management Agency (BP Tapera), and forming a task force (satgas) to assist the public facing obstacles in the subsidised KPR application process.
This meeting was also attended by developer associations such as REI, APERSI, and Appernas Jaya, who expressed appreciation for OJK’s swift response to various field-level obstacles.
As a follow-up, the Ministry of PKP together with OJK will continue to strengthen coordination with banks and related stakeholders to ensure effective policy implementation.
This step is expected to expand public access to subsidised housing in a easier, faster, and more targeted manner.
