Jakarta, VIVA — The Financial Services Authority (OJK) has moved swiftly to respond to allegations of violations in online loan (pinjol) debt collection that have implicated rogue debt collectors (DC) in Semarang. The case points to PT Teknologi Internasional Nusantara (TIN) as the third-party debt collection service provider collaborating with PT Indosaku Digital Teknologi.

OJK Commissioner Chairman, Friderica Widyasari Dewi, stated that her agency is conducting a special examination of Indosaku to determine whether any violations occurred in collection practices. If violations are confirmed, the regulator has affirmed it will impose firm sanctions.

“Currently, OJK is conducting a special examination of Indosaku and will impose sanctions if violations are proven,” said Kiky during the OJK Board of Commissioners Meeting on Tuesday, 5 May 2026, in Jakarta.

In addition, OJK has requested the Indonesian Joint Funding Fintech Association (AFPI) along with the Ethics Committee to conduct a deeper investigation into the involved parties. This includes imposing blacklisting sanctions on third-party debt collection service providers found to have committed violations.

“OJK has also requested AFPI along with the Ethics Committee to conduct a deepening investigation and impose blacklisting sanctions on the third-party debt collection service providers involved,” added Friderica.

Beyond enforcement, Kiky has also asked Indosaku to undertake internal improvements within the company. The company is required to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of all collection processes, including collaborations with third parties.

“Furthermore, OJK has requested Indosaku to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the collection processes carried out, including an evaluation of collaborations with third-party debt collection service companies,” she added.

OJK’s efforts are a continuation of AFPI’s firm actions, which have revoked the membership of the involved debt collection service provider. In this regard, it has decided to terminate PT Teknologi Internasional Nusantara (TIN) as a supporting member of AFPI, effective from 30 April 2026.
