OJK Aims for 8% Growth in Multifinance Receivables This Year
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia — The Financial Services Authority (OJK) regards the projection of multifinance receivable growth of 6% to 8% in 2026 as realistic to achieve.
Executive Head of Supervisory Agency for Financing Institutions, Venture Capital, Microfinance Institutions, and Other Financial Services Institutions OJK Agusman says the working-capital financing segment is expected to remain one of the pillars of multifinance growth in 2026, in line with community demand for goods/services and business expansion.
‘The projection of 6%-8% growth in receivables in 2026 is considered realistic, taking into account, among other things, industry targets and economic conditions. To achieve it, companies need to optimise potential in prospective sectors and regions while maintaining asset quality and risk management,’ Agusman said in a written statement on Thursday (5/3/2026).
He explained that in January 2026, new financing disbursement by the multifinance industry stood at Rp78.16 trillion, dominated by multipurpose financing with a share of 47.47%. In nominal terms, multipurpose reached Rp37.10 trillion, investment Rp18.72 trillion, and working capital Rp17.04 trillion.
Meanwhile, electric-vehicle financing in January 2026 grew 39.13% year-on-year to Rp21.05 trillion, driven by higher EV sales and expected to remain positive in 2026 in line with vehicle electrification trends.
During 2022-2025, four-wheeler financing receivables grew at an average of 6.80% year-on-year. As of January 2026, total four-wheeler financing disbursement stood at Rp229.43 trillion. Second-hand four-wheeler vehicles recorded higher average growth of 12.75% year-on-year.
‘Companies can optimise both segments by expanding networks and maintaining financing quality,’ Agusman added.
He continued that the improvement in the automotive market at the start of the year is a positive signal for vehicle financing, with a positive growth outlook for 2026.
Meanwhile, contractions in some companies are influenced by market conditions and each company’s business strategy, with movements monitored through the latest data.
