Office boy with a 'sarjana' degree
Office boy with a 'sarjana' degree
From Suara Karya
Through this letter, I would like to ask help from the government or readers who may have a solution to my problem.
My name is Rujito, a civil servant, ID No. 130494381. Current position: office boy of an elementary school in Minggiran which is under the management of the Ministry of Education and Culture's office in South Yogyakarta. I have a bachelor's degree in education, majoring in educational guidance and consultation.
The problem is, I was officially appointed as a civil servant in 1975 when I only had a junior high school certificate. Later, I continued my studies and graduated from high school in 1980, and in 1986 from the Teachers Training Institute.
After obtaining the higher education certificates, I had hoped to upgrade my living standard and increase my knowledge.
I have tried many things, but until today there have been no results. Some of the things which I have done are: 1. Asking for the school to accept my bachelor's certificate, replacing the high school certificate I last submitted. It was turned down on the grounds that I am only an office boy. 2. Proposing to join the Yogyakarta office of the Ministry of Education and Culture's. It was also turned down on the grounds that my civil servant number (130) is the number of employees of the central office. 3. Proposing to join the Yogyakarta office of the Ministry of Education and Culture as a teacher or educator. It was also turned down because to be a teacher/educator of the regional office, one has to be a civil servant of the III/A category. My category is II/A.
I hope that the ministry or readers can help me to solve this problem and help make my dreams come true.
