Odd-Even Vehicle Restriction Suspended Today in Jakarta
The Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta, in collaboration with the Metro Jaya Police Traffic Directorate, has decided to suspend the vehicle restriction policy using the odd-even system today, Friday, 15 May 2026. This policy applies to all protocol roads that normally implement the system.
The suspension of the odd-even system today is in line with the designation of a national holiday/public leave. In accordance with the Governor’s Regulation (Pergub) of DKI Jakarta, the Gage policy is not enforced on Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays designated by Presidential Decree.
Although this regulation is suspended, the police still urge road users to continue complying with traffic signs and following directions from officers in the field. The suspension of Gage is often followed by an increase in vehicle volume at central shopping points and tourist areas in the city centre.
Several points that may experience congestion even though the odd-even system is not in effect today include:
For the public planning to travel, it is advisable to continue monitoring the latest traffic conditions through the official TMC Metro Jaya Police account or digital navigation applications to avoid long traffic jams.
