Nuclear hoax
Nuclear hoax
From Bisnis Indonesia
In January 1986, the Indonesia Foundation published an
interesting book which contained critical and fundamental
opinions on modern human civilization. Succinctly titled Trapped,
the book asked the fundamental questions politicians don't like
to deal with.
I wish to draw attention to chapter six, Nuclear energy: Big
hoax. After reading this chapter I wondered whether the promoter
of the nuclear power plant in Indonesia, together with its
enthusiastic supporters, welcome the "new era of sophisticated
technology" of the nuclear science. Or if those people who know
the problem were indifferent and voluntarily got into the trap of
the "big hoax" which had been propagated by the "technocrats" of
the First World.
Concerning the big hoax, Goldsmith took as an example the
Chernobyl catastrophe. He picked up the conclusion made by Allan
Yaroschinskaya, a deputy of Soviet Supreme Council and a member
of the investigation body of the Chernobyl disaster: "The lies
behind the Chernobyl case are as terrible as the disaster
itself."
The Chief of French Nuclear Society which was supported by the
Indonesian nuclear group stated that the Chernobyl disaster only
claimed 31 people with a few hundred others being treated in
hospital. The increasing cases of cancer among children in
Balarus, by 24 times as reported by WHO, the thousands of people
who died after the event, and the increasing number of
miscarriage cases in Norway are all thought to have been linked
to radiation from the Chernobyl reactor.
