NTT Police Officer Dismissed for Hoarding Subsidised Diesel
Aipda Djefri Loudoe, known as Jelo, the head of the Paminal unit at Manggarai Timur Police Resort in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), has been dismissed from the Indonesian National Police (Polri) after being found guilty of hoarding subsidised diesel. Ironically, the officer tasked with monitoring internal violations was himself implicated in the misuse of subsidised fuel. The dishonourable discharge (PTDH) was imposed following a Professional Ethics Commission (KKEP) hearing on Monday, 25 May 2026. Kombes Henry Novika Chandra, the Chief of Public Relations for the East Nusa Tenggara Police (Polda NTT), stated that the commission deemed Jelo’s actions as disgraceful. In addition to dismissal, Jelo received an administrative sanction of 20 days in a special placement (patsus), which he has already served. ‘The sanction for the police officer, Aipda J (Jelo), is PTDH for the violation of subsidised fuel misuse,’ Henry told detikBali on Thursday, 28 May 2026. Henry added that Jelo has appealed the ruling, exercising his right under Polri’s ethics mechanism. Polda NTT, Henry continued, is committed to strictly addressing any misconduct by its officers to maintain public trust in the police institution. ‘This is part of enforcing discipline and upholding public confidence in the police force,’ Henry explained. Case Involves Brimob Officer. The case also implicated Iptu Herman Pati Bean, commander of the 4th Company of Pelopor Battalion B under Polda NTT’s Brimob unit. However, Henry has not commented on any sanctions against Herman. Previously, Polda NTT detained two police officers suspected of involvement in hoarding subsidised diesel in Manggarai Timur. The subsidised diesel was stored in a warehouse owned by PT Surya Sejahtera in Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai. The detained officers were Aipda Djefri Loudoe (DGL), alias Jelo, head of the Paminal unit at Manggarai Timur Police Resort, and Iptu Herman Pati Bean, commander of the 4th Company of Pelopor Battalion B under Polda NTT’s Brimob unit. ‘Regarding the handling of the suspected fuel misuse case, investigators have detained two individuals suspected of involvement,’ said Polda NTT’s Public Relations Chief Kombes Henry Novika Chandra to detikBali on Tuesday, 28 April 2026.
