NTT Police Investigate Alleged Involvement of Police Officers in Subsidised Fuel Case
Kupang (ANTARA) - The Nusa Tenggara Timur Regional Police are investigating allegations of involvement by two rogue police officers stationed at the Manggarai Timur Police Resort, initials Aipda DGL and Bripda HFI, in a case of misuse of subsidised diesel fuel.
“We ensure that every allegation of violation, including those involving internal members, will be processed professionally and transparently without exception,” said the Head of Public Relations of NTT Police, Commissioner Hendry Novika Chandra, in Kupang on Monday.
The case began with the apprehension of a dump truck transporting 2,955 litres of subsidised diesel fuel without official documents on the Ruteng-Labuan Bajo road on 16 March 2026.
As the investigation progressed, indications emerged of the involvement of the two rogue members of the Indonesian National Police stationed at the Manggarai Timur Police Resort, initials Aipda DGL and Bripda HFI.
In response, the Professional and Security Division (Propam) of NTT Police immediately deployed a Subdirectorate Paminal team to the Manggarai Timur Police Resort.
“As an initial step, the Chief of Manggarai Timur Police Resort has suspended the two members to facilitate an objective and in-depth examination process,” he said.
“If proven guilty, the two rogues will be processed in accordance with applicable regulations,” he added.
Henry added that this step is part of internal clean-up efforts as well as maintaining public trust in the police institution in ensuring that the distribution of subsidised fuel runs on target and is not misused.
