NTB to host Indonesia-Middle East business forum
Mataram (ANTARA News) - West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) province is to host a two-day business forum between Indonesia and Middle East at Senggigi tourist resort in Lombok island on February 18-19.
Provincial administration spokesman Abdul Malik said here on Monday that the RI-Mideast business forum would be attended by a least 20 investors from Indonesia and the Middle East.
Besides the investors, Middle East countries` ambassador to Indonesia and a representative of Emaar Property would also attend the forum.
Abdul Malik said Emaar Property would build accommodation facilities at the former Lombok Tourism Development Center (LTDC).
He said domestic participants in the forum would be made up of business makers from a number of provinces in Indonesia, including West Nusa Tenggara.
Business opportunities between Indonesia and Middle East countries will be discussed at the forum to be organized by Indonesia`s Foreign Affairs Ministry.
"We have to make the forum a success by promoting various business potentials in NTB in an effort to attract the interest of the investors in investing here," Abdul Malik said.
After the forum, the investors from the Middle East would visit the operational sites of a number of local companies on Lombok island engaged in pearl, lobster and "kerapu" fish farming .(*)
