The remaining operational debt of the NTB Provincial General Hospital (RSUD) to third parties is recorded at Rp 41 billion. This amount represents the remainder from the total debt for 2025, amounting to Rp 91 billion, which originated from expenditures on medicines, blood stock provision, and other operational needs.

NTB RSUD Director, Asrul Sani, stated that his side is endeavouring to settle the debt obligations to several third parties, both for medicine procurement services and other operational needs.

“Insyaallah, we will settle it as soon as possible, perhaps within this month or next month we can pay it off,” he said when met at the NTB Governor’s Office on Tuesday (21/4/2026).

According to Asrul, the settlement will be carried out gradually by utilising the budget managed by the hospital through the Regional Public Service Agency (BLUD) scheme. Payments will also be made using funds from health service claims, both from BPJS and general patients.

“There is from the hospital’s budget, from the BLUD budget, of course from service claims both from BPJS and general,” he explained.

Despite still having a debt burden, Asrul assured that services to patients continue to run normally. The availability of medicines and medical services is said not to be affected by the situation.

“Services are not disrupted,” remarked the son of the former East Lombok Regent.

He mentioned that debt payments have received flexibility from the providers or third parties in terms of payment deadlines or time limits. Third parties have also given the hospital room to adjust the settlement process.

“There is leniency from some providers, so it can be adjusted. But the sooner the better,” he said.

Asrul also emphasised that NTB RSUD management is committed to improving budget governance to avoid leaving debts in the future. He will also evaluate operational needs and map out expenditure items that can be streamlined to save the hospital’s budget.

“Of course, we carry out good control, then really calculate the needs at the hospital so that it can be realised well,” he stressed.
