Jakarta (ANTARA) - Nusantara Riset Indonesia (NRI) has released the results of its latest national survey, stating that 80.17 percent of respondents are satisfied with the performance of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

In the survey, only 7.33 percent of respondents expressed dissatisfaction, while 12.50 percent said they did not know or did not answer. This figure reflects a strong level of political legitimacy towards the direction of the current government’s policies.

“Interestingly, among various indicators of public satisfaction, the aspect of energy resilience is the factor with the highest percentage, at 19.17 percent. This achievement positions the energy sector as the main foundation of public trust in the government’s performance, while also demonstrating that the stability of supply and national energy policies have been directly felt by the public,” said Director of Nusantara Riset Indonesia Deni Yusup, in Jakarta on Wednesday.

In addition to energy resilience, other factors contributing to public satisfaction levels include the Free Nutritious Meals Programme (MBG) at 18.33 percent, President Prabowo’s leadership at 17.92 percent, law enforcement at 16.67 percent, food resilience at 15.42 percent, and the education and people’s school sector at 12.50 percent.

“The combination of these various policies forms a positive public perception of the government’s overall performance,” Deni stated.

Deni emphasised that energy resilience has become a strategic issue that not only impacts national economic stability but also strengthens the government’s political legitimacy in the eyes of the public.

He assessed that policy consistency in the energy sector will be key to maintaining public satisfaction levels in the future.

The survey also recorded several critical notes from the public, such as the highest public dissatisfaction caused by corruption issues and weak law enforcement at 13 percent.

Additionally, there is scrutiny of regulations that are not yet optimal (10 percent), government coordination (9.50 percent), as well as the need for welfare improvements and education sector reforms, each at 9 percent.

The survey was conducted from 13 to 22 April 2026 using multistage random sampling, with 1,200 respondents spread across 38 provinces and 518 regencies/cities.

Data collection was carried out through face-to-face interviews by trained surveyors, with a confidence level of 95 percent and a margin of error of ±2.9 percent. The respondent composition consists of 50 percent men and 50 percent women.
