Novotel introduces new chef
Four-star Novotel Yogyakarta hotel on Jl. Sudirman is introducing
its new chef, Arif Samsul Hadi, with a pledge to serve
international menus with a local touch.
"Arif is an expert in Asian cooking as well as European,
especially French," said Novotel public relations manager Erny
Kusmastuti, expressing the hope that the new chef would offer new
taste sensations at the hotel.
This month, for example, Arif is offering a variety of salmon
dishes served with a selection of oriental spices at the hotel's
Kayu Api Mediterranean and Italian restaurant.
These, according to Arif, have been specially created to cater
for local tastes and are offered mostly for domestic guests. "For
foreign guests, I shall maintain the classic flavors," Arif said.
