JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) of the Ministry of Finance records that the realisation of annual Personal Income Tax (PPh) return submissions continues to increase ahead of the reporting deadline. Director of Outreach, Services, and Public Relations of the DJP, Inge Diana Rismawanti, stated that as of 25 March 2026, the number of submitted returns reached 9,072,935. “Of that number, the majority come from salaried individual taxpayers, reaching 7,993,396 returns. Meanwhile, non-salaried individual taxpayers are recorded at 891,594 returns,” said Inge in an official statement on Thursday (26/3/2026). In addition, for taxpayers with differing fiscal years (who began reporting from 1 August 2025), there are 1,570 corporate returns in rupiah and 21 corporate returns in US dollars. On the other hand, the DJP also records developments in Coretax account activations. As of the same period, the number of taxpayers who have activated Coretax accounts reached 16,830,447. Before submitting annual PPh returns via Coretax, ensure you have registered a Coretax account. In addition to having a Coretax account, ensure you also have a DJP authorisation code or electronic certificate used as a digital signature. Moreover, you need to prepare the Withholding Evidence (Bupot) for PPh Article 21 Form BPA1. On the My Documents menu, search for the document titled Withholding Evidence for PPh Article 21 A1 (BPA1). Then, scroll to the right and click the Download button to download that Bupot. If the Bupot is not available, you can try pressing the refresh button. Overall, the process consists of these stages.
