Not Just Handling Documents, Pramono Asks Subdistrict Offices to Help Address Domestic Violence to Divorce Cases
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has requested that subdistrict offices not only handle administrative matters such as paperwork but also help resolve the daily problems faced by residents.
According to him, subdistrict offices must be more open and ready to receive various complaints from the community, including household issues such as domestic violence (KDRT), infidelity, and divorce.
“I ask that subdistrict offices not only function administratively but open themselves as widely as possible to the community to convey complaints, input, suggestions, and resolve on-the-ground issues,” Pramono said when met at RPTRA Planet Senen on Monday (4/5/2026).
Therefore, the government must be directly present, especially at the lowest level, such as subdistricts.
“I have heard various problems myself, from domestic violence issues, infidelity problems, divorce problems, and so on. That is the real condition in society, and of course, the government must be present for such things at the lowest level,” Pramono stated.
However, if the government is present and helps, the burden and stress on residents can be reduced.
Meanwhile, Head of the DKI Jakarta Population Control, Family Planning, Women’s Empowerment, and Child Protection Agency (Dinas PPAPP) Dwi Oktavia said that currently, there are 324 RPTRA in 173 subdistricts in Jakarta.
In the future, the target is for every subdistrict to have at least one RPTRA.
In addition, last year, around 2,600 reports were recorded related to various problems, including family issues.
“However, so far, the most reports are still related to children, not divorce or household conflict problems,” Dwi said.
The DKI Provincial Government hopes that subdistricts and RPTRA can become places for residents to seek assistance, so that community problems can be handled more quickly.
