Non-subsidised fuel prices have risen. Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung will prepare breakthroughs to encourage non-subsidised fuel users to utilise public transportation. “The Jakarta Government will make breakthroughs so that the number of people using non-subsidised fuel decreases by encouraging them to use public transportation,” Pramono said in South Jakarta on Sunday (19/4/2026). Pramono stated that the Jakarta Provincial Government will follow the central government’s directives regarding the increase in non-subsidised fuel prices. He assured that there will be no subsidies for its users. “The first thing about fuel is the authority of the central government, so whatever price adjustments are made to non-subsidised fuel, the Jakarta Government will certainly follow that,” he said. “Meanwhile, for subsidies to users, the Jakarta Government will certainly not do that,” he added. It is known that non-subsidised fuel prices increased starting Saturday (18/4). The increase only affects Pertamax Turbo, Dexlite, and Pertamina Dex fuels. In the Jakarta area, Pertamax Turbo has risen by Rp 6,300 per litre to Rp 19,400. Dexlite is now sold at Rp 23,600 per litre, an increase of Rp 9,400. Pertamina Dex has also increased by Rp 9,400, now sold at Rp 23,900. For subsidised fuel prices, such as Pertalite, there is no change.
