Noisy island

We appreciate Ms Tapp's concern about the disturbance of the tranquility of Peucang island by the public address system we set up to call room boys or waiters (The Jakarta Post, July 25, 1996). This system was established in response to complaints from our guests that they had to wait for a long time for help because their quarters are about 100 meters (not 10 meters) away.

The noise was noticeable in the beginning but the level of noise has been reduced to a minimum.

On thing we would correct is that we operate on a reservation basis and always honor it. Only walk-in guests are treated on first-come-first-served basis. We shall therefore entertain complaints for failing to perform as agreed.
