PT Pertamina Patra Niaga has adjusted the prices of some non-subsidised fuel products, effective from 4 May 2026. This is the impact of the company’s periodic evaluation following global market dynamics.

The adjustment takes into account the world crude oil price, international refined product prices, and rupiah exchange rate movements. Several products have seen increases, while others are maintained to balance business interests and public purchasing power.

“Non-subsidised products in principle follow economic prices and refer to applicable provisions and regulations. However, as a state-owned enterprise carrying out the state’s strategic mandate, Pertamina does not only consider business aspects but also pays attention to current social conditions, purchasing power of non-subsidised fuel user customers, and national stability,” said Corporate Secretary of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Roberth MV Dumatubun, in Jakarta on Monday (4/5/2026).

Based on the adjustment, the price of Pertamax (RON 92) remains at Rp12,300 per litre. Pertamax Green 95 also unchanged at Rp12,900 per litre.

Meanwhile, Pertamax Turbo (RON 98) has increased from Rp19,400 to Rp19,900 per litre. Increases also occur for Dexlite (CN 51) from Rp23,600 to Rp26,000 per litre, and Pertamina Dex (CN 53) from Rp23,900 to Rp27,900 per litre.

Roberth explained that this adjustment step considers socio-economic conditions and the need to maintain a conducive situation amid global dynamics.

“This step reflects our commitment to balancing business sustainability with national interests. As the government’s extended arm, Pertamina helps maintain conducive conditions with price adjustments that remain competitive compared to other business entities. Therefore, not all products undergo price adjustments,” he said.

Previously, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), Bahlil Lahadalia, stated that non-subsidised fuel prices would follow market mechanisms amid global energy dynamics. This policy is implemented because non-subsidised fuel is intended for the affluent group.

The government prioritises protection for the public through subsidised fuel policies that are kept stable. This step is taken amid geopolitical pressures affecting the global energy supply chain, from conflicts in the Middle East to changes in oil import patterns.

“But for fuel for the affluent, sorry, it follows market law by itself,” said Bahlil in Jakarta.

He emphasised that the government continues to maintain price stability for vulnerable groups through subsidy schemes. Subsidised fuel and LPG are ensured not to increase until the end of the year in accordance with President Prabowo Subianto’s instructions.
