Nine Defendants in Alleged Crude Oil Corruption Case to Face Sentencing Today
Nine defendants in the alleged crude oil management corruption case will face sentencing today. One of the defendants is Muhamad Kerry Adrianto Riza, the son of fugitive Riza Chalid.
The trial will be held at the Jakarta Corruption Court on Thursday, 26 February 2026. The nine defendants are:
Riva Siahaan (RS), former Director of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga,
Sani Dinar Saifuddin (SDS), former Director of Feedstock and Product Optimization at PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional,
Maya Kusmaya (MK), former Director of Marketing and Trading at PT Pertamina Patra Niaga,
Edward Corne (EC), former VP of Trading Operations at PT Pertamina Patra Niaga,
Yoki Firnandi (YF), former Director of PT Pertamina International Shipping,
Agus Purwono (AP), former VP of Feedstock Management at PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional,
Muhamad Kerry Adrianto Riza (MKAR), beneficial owner of PT Navigator Khatulistiwa,
Dimas Werhaspati (DW), Commissioner of PT Navigator Khatulistiwa and Commissioner of PT Jenggala Maritim,
Gading Ramadhan Joedo (GRJ), Commissioner of PT Jenggala Maritim and Director of PT Orbit Terminal Merak.
“The verdict will be delivered on Thursday, 26 February 2026, at 13:00 WIB,” said the head of the panel of judges, Fajar Kusuma Aji, at the Jakarta Corruption Court on Tuesday, 24 February.
The judge reminded that no one should attempt to influence the panel. The judge also requested that anyone claiming to represent the panel should immediately report it.
“We remind everyone not to try to influence the judges, either through their families or otherwise. Just report it if anyone claims to represent the judges,” said the judge.
According to the indictment, the alleged corruption in the management of crude oil has caused state losses of IDR 285 trillion. There are two main issues, namely related to the import of refinery products or fuel oil, and related to the sale of non-subsidized diesel.
