New overpass to be tested

JAKARTA (JP): The newly-built overpass linking Jl. Kebayoran
Baru and Jl. Ciledug Raya in Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta, will
be tested on Monday.

J.P. Sepang, head of the City Land Traffic Control Agency,
yesterday urged motorists passing by the facility to abide by
existing traffic rules.

During the try-out, several traffic changes will go into
effect.

Motorists from Lebak Bulus and Pondok Indah heading toward
Blok M, Mayestik and Kebayoran Baru should use the north side of
the overpass and Jl. Kebayoran Baru and Jl. Pakubuwono.

Those going from Lebak Bulus to Jl. Ciledug Raya and Tangerang
should use the north side of the overpass and take a U-turn at
Velbak before passing by the overpass.

Sepang said that the traffic from Permata Hijau, Pejompongan
and Jl. Teuku Nyak Arif to the direction of Jl. Ciledug should
use the north lane of Jl. Kebayoran Baru, take a U-turn in Velbak
and pass by the overpass.

Motorists from Jl. Ciledug and Tangerang heading for Permata
Hijau and Pejompongan are urged to pass by the overpass and take
the west lane and turn left on Jl. Teuku Nyak Arif. Those
intending to go to Kebayoran Baru, Blok M and Mayestik can go
through the overpass to Jl. Pakubuwono VI, while others heading
for Pondok Indah or Lebak Bulus can go through the overpass and
take a U-turn in Velbak before turning left on to Jl. Sultan
Iskandar Muda. (hhr)
