Jakarta, VIVA – The Financial Services Authority (OJK) together with the Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) has decided that members of the public with credit records of up to Rp 1 million in the Financial Services Information System (SLIK) can now still apply for subsidised housing credit.

Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP), Maruarar Sirait alias Ara, stated that this is good news for the public, and she expressed thanks to the OJK for helping to realise it.

“So those who previously had OJK SLIK records of one million or below, from this moment onwards, may apply for subsidised housing credit. This is good news for the people,” said Ara in her statement on Monday, 13 April 2026.

She acknowledged that the decision is the result of a long struggle by the Ministry of PKP, through various meetings with the OJK. “I held up to six meetings at the OJK to fight for this, and this only happened in the era of President Prabowo’s government,” she said.

Ara also emphasised the importance of accelerating the implementation of the policy without bureaucratic obstacles. She reminded that there should be no ‘deep state’ or bureaucratic barriers that slow down the execution of pro-people policies.

“I hope there are no obstacles in its implementation, either at the OJK or in banking,” she said.

Meanwhile, OJK Commissioner Chair Friderica Widyasari Dewi alias Kiki stated that the OJK fully supports the government’s priority programme for building 3 million houses for the Indonesian people.

“The OJK fully supports the success of achieving the government’s priority programme, namely building 3 million houses for the Indonesian people,” said Kiki.

On that occasion, Kiki also announced several strategic policies to support the acceleration of the housing programme. In addition to SLIK records only displaying credit with amounts of Rp 1 million and above, there is also an update to credit repayment data a maximum of H+3 after repayment is made.

Furthermore, there is the provision of SLIK data access to BP Tapera to speed up the housing financing process, and the affirmation of subsidised housing credit as a government priority programme in terms of guarantees.

“Also the formation of the Task Force for Accelerating the 3 Million Houses Programme together with the Ministry of PKP, OJK, Tapera, and developer associations. The addition of information in the SLIK report that this data does not determine credit approval by financial institutions,” she said.
