JAKARTA (JP): The Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta yesterday announced the appointment of Silvia van Laak as the hotel's director of sales and marketing.

Mandarin's General Manager Ingo Peters said Van Laak had previously held various positions in other hotels, including at the Melia Purosani in Yogyakarta and the Thailand-based Imperial Family of Hotels.

The Mandarin Oriental hotel group operates hotels in Bangkok, Honolulu, Jakarta, Macau, Manila, San Francisco, Singapore and Surabaya. Under development is a hotel in Kuala Lumpur. (pwn)
