New Japanese menu at Edogin

Diners through the month of September at the Mulia Hotel, Senayan, should try out the new menu at the Edogin Japanese restaurant in the Mulia Hotel, Senayan.

Featuring appetizers and salads, highlights include cold Kobe beef shabu-shabu with orange ponzu sauce, and grilled and smoked salmon salads with spicy mayonnaise.

Soup-wise, customers can sample Japanese minestrone Noppei- jiru and maitake mushroom soups, without forgetting the white fish soup with ikura, or salmon roe.

The mains range from foie gras and white radish in sweet miso, grilled lobster with yuzu pepper to seafood toban-yaki in creamy spicy sauce.

For dessert one can choose from the delectable-sounding green tea pudding with caramel sauce and tuille, or the poached lychee with sake lime granite in iced syrup flavored with lemon verbena. What a mouthful.
