New Indonesian Navy Warship KRI Prabu Siliwangi-321 Arrives in Indonesia
The new Indonesian Navy warship, Republic of Indonesia Warship (KRI) Prabu Siliwangi-321, has arrived in Indonesia on Monday.
The vessel reached Indonesian waters after sailing from Italy some time ago.
“Yes, KRI Prabu Siliwangi-321 has arrived in the homeland; it is currently docked at Panjang Pier in Lampung for resupplying provisions,” said the Head of the Indonesian Navy Information Service (Kadispenal), Admiral Tunggul, when confirmed by ANTARA in Jakarta on Monday.
Tunggul continued that the KRI will depart from Lampung to Jakarta on Thursday (26/3) to participate in the welcoming ceremony for the ship.
“Preparations for the welcoming event in Jakarta on 26 March 2026, which will subsequently strengthen the ranks of the Indonesian Fleet Command,” explained Tunggul.
It is known that the Indonesian Navy received KRI Prabu Siliwangi-321, which was recently completed by the Italian shipyard Fincantieri.
The handover was attended directly by the Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Navy (KSAL), Admiral Muhammad Ali, at Fincantieri’s shipyard in Muggiano, Italy, on 22 December 2025.
This KRI has the same specifications as KRI Brawijaya-321, which was previously produced by Fincantieri for the Indonesian Navy and has been in Koarmada II for several months.
KRI Prabu Siliwangi-321 is the largest and most advanced warship owned by Indonesia at present. The ship is equipped with modern technology, advanced weapon systems, and has high combat and manoeuvrability capabilities.
The presence of KRI Prabu Siliwangi-321 is part of the Indonesian Navy’s efforts to modernise its defence equipment to safeguard Indonesia’s maritime areas.
