New Chapter for Shell in Indonesia with a New Captain
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Shell Indonesia has officially announced a new leader to head the company’s operations in the country. Andri Pratiwa has been appointed as the new President Director and Country Chair of Shell Indonesia, effective from 1 May 2026. This appointment comes during a crucial period for the company as it undergoes business transformation. In addition to his top leadership role in Indonesia, Andri will continue to hold his previous position as General Manager of Lubricants Indonesia. At the same time, the Dutch energy giant is finalising the process of transferring its fuel station business in Indonesia to a joint venture between Citadel Pacific Limited and Sefas Group. In his statement, Andri emphasised optimism regarding opportunities for national economic growth. He assured that the company’s investment commitments will not waver, especially in the manufacturing sector. “Shell Indonesia is entering a new phase with various opportunities, and I am grateful for the trust given to me to lead the company in its growth efforts while continuing to make positive contributions to Indonesia’s economy,” said Andri in his official statement. Andri replaces Ingrid Siburian, who will end her tenure as Country Chair. Although stepping down from the top position, Ingrid will continue to play a vital role in the company’s structure. Ingrid will proceed with her role as General Manager of Mobility. Her primary tasks now are to ensure the continuity of business operations and to oversee a smooth leadership transition without obstacles. In recent months, Shell Indonesia has experienced fuel shortages. Shell fuel stations remain operational but are only serving vehicle services and others. With the new company taking over, it is hoped that consumers can once again access Shell fuel options.
