The construction of the Jakarta-Cikampek II Southern Segment Package 2A tollway project, with a main road length of 10.50 km, is demonstrating significant physical construction progress of 81.65% as of mid-February 2026. The tollway, which stretches from Setu to Sukaragam, is being undertaken by PT Hutama Karya Infrastruktur (HKI), which is part of a joint cooperation (KSO) comprising WIKA, PP, KMK, and HKI.

The Jakarta-Cikampek II Southern Segment Package 2A represents a strategically important link in the southern corridor connectivity, particularly between Jakarta and West Java. The tollway will eventually connect the Jakarta Outer Ring Road (JORR) E1 at Jatiasih Junction with the Purbaleunyi Tollway at Sadang Junction.

“This tollway is expected to be able to relieve traffic congestion on the existing Jakarta-Cikampek Tollway whilst serving as the primary alternative for the public in travelling from Jakarta to West Java, which will facilitate mobility and logistics distribution in the region,” said HKI Operations Director III Aditya Novendra Jaya in a written statement on Friday, 27 February 2026.

Within this joint cooperation, HKI is undertaking major works including earthworks comprising embankment and excavation, concrete structures, bore piles, and the installation of PCI girders and steel box girders. The construction process is supported by the application of Building Information Modelling (BIM) technology to ensure design accuracy and work volume efficiency, as well as the use of barcode-based Augmented Reality (AR) to support visualisation and quality control in the field.

In its implementation, the project has faced several technical challenges, including girder erection work at the crossing point of the active Cimanggis-Cibitung Tollways (CCT), which is constrained by limited time windows. This has necessitated the use of launcher methodology to maintain work safety and ensure smooth traffic flow.

“Implementation is conducted whilst ensuring the appropriateness of work methods and equipment capacity, as well as strengthening coordination with the tollway operator, the Department of Transportation, and the Police,” he added.

With progress continuing to increase and coordination support from various relevant parties, the project is targeted for completion in September 2026, in accordance with the contractually determined schedule.
