Nearly 80 Percent of People Satisfied, Prabowo's Programmes Deemed to Have a Clear Direction
Jakarta, VIVA - Executive Director of Indeks Data Nasional, Ayip Tayana, stated that the level of public satisfaction with President Prabowo Subianto’s administration is related to a number of government programmes that have begun to be implemented.
A survey conducted by Indikator Politik Indonesia shows that public satisfaction with the Prabowo administration has reached 79.2 percent.
According to Ayip, this figure indicates a positive perception from a portion of the public towards the government’s policy direction.
“This shows that a portion of the public believes that the government has a clear policy direction,” said Ayip Tayana, Wednesday, February 25, 2026.
He mentioned that several programmes that were previously part of the campaign promises are now being implemented by the government. These programmes include Free Nutritious Meals (MBG), Red and White Village Cooperatives (KDMP), Red and White Fishermen Villages (KNMP), rice self-sufficiency and food security, free health checks, and efforts to equalize access to education.
However, Ayip believes that these various programmes still require evaluation to ensure their optimal implementation.
He cited the MBG programme as an example, which needs to be evaluated in terms of menu diversity and food safety, especially after several cases of food poisoning in recent months.
“Evaluation needs to be done more seriously. If there are kitchens that do not follow the established standard operating procedures, there should be firm action,” he said.
In addition, the People’s School programme, which aims to expand access to education for poor and extremely poor communities, is also considered to need to pay attention to the quality of teachers, curriculum, and supporting facilities.
Ayip also highlighted the Red and White Village Cooperatives, which in concept aims to encourage village economies collectively. However, according to him, the management of cooperatives must be supported by good management capabilities and business perspectives in order to run effectively.
“Government programmes are underway, but the quality of implementation, equity, and sustainability of the programmes still need to be monitored and evaluated so that the benefits can be felt more broadly by the community,” he said.
