National Traffic Police Chief Inspects Functional Japek II Toll Road, Ensures Controlled Return Flow
The Head of the National Traffic Police of the Indonesian National Police, Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho, inspected the functional Jakarta-Cikampek II South toll road. Inspector General Agus stated that traffic conditions for the Eid al-Fitr or Lebaran 2026 return flow through the functional toll road are running smoothly.
“This is one of the very strategic functional toll roads for splitting the flow from West Java towards Jakarta. So for non-bus private vehicles, it’s through Sadang to Setu, and we are at the end of the functional toll in Setu, which is quite under control,” said Inspector General Agus after inspecting the toll road on Friday (27/3/2026).
Agus explained that today’s return flow traffic conditions are quite under control. He said the functional toll road is helping to ease traffic flow from West Java to Jakarta.
“Up to now, the flow conditions are quite under control, although quite dense entering Cikampek. And today, we along with Mr. President Director of Jasa Marga, the return flow from West Java, which of course this is one of the very strategic functional toll roads for splitting the flow from West Java to Jakarta,” he said.
Agus was accompanied by the President Director of Jasa Marga, Rivan A. Purwantono, during the inspection of the functional toll road. Rivan stated that the functional Japek II South toll road has already been passed by 49,000 vehicles.
“In its usage, it has reached almost 49,000. That means, from these 49,000, on average 6,000 except on H+3 reaching 16,000,” he said.
Rivan explained that the functional toll road is helping to split traffic flow and reduce density on the main toll road route. The toll road appeared busy with passing vehicles.
“With the existence of this functional [road], it greatly helps the return flow heading to Kilometre 66, which is dispersed, and we can see here, this is the end where we made the ramp to anticipate exiting from Japek II South to the national road,” he said.
