National Traffic Police and West Java Regional Police Strengthen Coordination to Secure Eid Holiday Travel
Korlantas Polri has strengthened coordination with West Java Regional Police (Polda Jabar) to secure the flow of traffic during the 2026 Eid holiday exodus. This synergy aims to ensure the safety and smooth travel of the public during the mudik period.
National Traffic Police Chief Irjen Pol Agus Suryonugroho conducted a direct inspection of the Integrated Operational Post for Operation Ketupat Lodaya 2026 at the rest area at KM 57 on the Jakarta–Cikampek toll road on Sunday, 15 March 2026. During the visit, he received a briefing from West Java Regional Police regarding security management and traffic engineering scenarios during the mudik period.
“We received a briefing from the Director of Traffic regarding security and order management scenarios. We also received a briefing from the Operations Chief about how Operation Ketupat covers not only traffic management but also security and order. Everything is already being managed well,” said Agus on Monday, 16 March 2026.
He appreciated the readiness of the integrated command post, which is equipped with monitoring technology for traffic management. This infrastructure helps officers monitor vehicle flow conditions and determine appropriate field responses.
Monitoring also showed traffic conditions in West Java remained orderly and controlled during the early implementation of Operation Ketupat. Safety indicators even showed a reduction in fatality rates compared to the same period last year.
“Fatality indicators have even decreased by 91 per cent. Last year during the same period, 26 people died, but now only one,” said Agus.
Korlantas Polri uses a digital system to monitor vehicle flow in real time. This data forms the basis for determining traffic engineering policies when vehicle volumes increase towards the Trans Java route.
