The National Police Commission (Kompolnas) has urged National Police Headquarters to thoroughly investigate the drug supply network connected to former Bima City Police Chief AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro through the Police Code of Ethics and Profession Tribunal (KKEP).

Kompolnas Commissioner Choirul Anam said uncovering the network was essential as a demonstration of the police force's commitment to combating narcotics.

"In the context of narcotics, we hope that during this tribunal the character, testimony and other aspects of the drug network can be examined," he told reporters at the TNCC Building at National Police Headquarters on Thursday (19 February).

Through this deeper investigation, he said, it was hoped that the pattern of drug transfers, the types of substances involved, and other individuals implicated in the case could be revealed, thereby fully exposing the narcotics circulation connected to AKBP Didik.

"The network means talking about who was involved, where the substances came from, and who they were working with," he said.

Furthermore, Anam said his office suspected AKBP Didik would receive the maximum sanction of Dishonourable Dismissal (PTDH) from the KKEP tribunal panel.

"Looking at the pattern of the case and its character, the potential for dishonourable dismissal is very high," he explained.

"We are confident that the sanction imposed will be the maximum penalty," he added.

AKBP Didik Putra has been named a suspect in narcotics distribution. He was designated as a suspect following a case review on Friday (13 February).

"The case review concluded that the investigation process against AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro would proceed," said National Police Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) Narcotics Crime Directorate Director Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso in a written statement on Friday.

Eko Hadi said that during the case review, Didik was found culpable for possession of a white suitcase containing narcotics at the residence of Aipda Dianita in Tangerang, Banten.

The drug evidence recovered comprised 16.3 grammes of methamphetamine, 49 ecstasy tablets and 2 partially consumed tablets (23.5 grammes), 19 Alprazolam tablets, 2 Happy Five tablets, and 5 grammes of ketamine.

In this case, Didik has been charged under Article 609 paragraph (2) letter (a) of Law No. 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code in conjunction with Law No. 1 of 2026 on criminal adjustments, and Article 62 of Law No. 5 of 1997 on Psychotropic Substances in conjunction with Appendix 1 number 9 of Law No. 1 of 2026.

Meanwhile, Bareskrim Narcotics Crime Directorate Sub-unit 3 Head Commissioner Zulkarnain Harahap said Didik also tested positive for narcotics based on hair sample laboratory testing, known as a Hair Follicle Drug Test.

"When we examined him, he tested negative. He, along with his wife and the female officer, tested negative. However, the Professional and Security Division (Propam) conducted hair testing, and it came back positive," he said.
