Jakarta (ANTARA) - The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) has expressed appreciation for the contributions of strategic partners to the Free Nutritious Meals Programme (MBG), which have enabled the construction of 24,000 Nutrition Fulfilment Service Units (SPPG) spread across Indonesia.

“Through the partnerships we have established, we have been able to facilitate the MBG Programme, so that today there are already 24,000 SPPG units across Indonesia, from Sabang to Merauke,” said BGN Head Dadan Hindayana in an official statement in Jakarta on Tuesday.

At the inauguration ceremony of the Islamic Union (Persis) SPPG in Bandung, West Java, on Monday (23 February), Dadan revealed that the partnership schemes developed have also accelerated programme implementation on the ground. The collaborative model enables the construction of robust service infrastructure without relying entirely on state funding.

In terms of budget efficiency, BGN provides an incentive of Rp6 million per day for each SPPG, or approximately Rp144 million per month. This scheme is considered far more efficient than if the government had to build and manage all facilities independently.

“Furthermore, the most valuable aspect of the partnership process, which I believe the state must appreciate from all parties involved in building this, is the winning of time — speed. Time is one of those factors in this world that cannot be recovered and moves in only one direction. In implementing the MBG programme, if it is not carried out at high speed, I believe all parties would suffer significant losses,” he explained.

BGN affirmed that accelerating construction and strengthening partnerships are key strategies to ensure all national targets can be achieved on time and sustainably.
