National Internship Programme Batch I to be Closed
The government has requested that participants, company operators, and mentors of the National Internship Programme (MagangHub Kemnaker) Batch I immediately complete all final stages of the programme according to the schedule, as there are many important matters that also need to be addressed.
Director General of Vocational Training Development and Productivity at the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker), Darmawansyah, explained that completing the final stage is crucial because it directly relates to administrative processes, assessments, certificate issuance, and the disbursement of participants’ stipends.
“Moreover, this closing phase also serves as a marker that the internship experience must truly be transformed into tangible preparation for entering the workforce,” said Darmawansyah in a written statement in Jakarta on Sunday, 19 April 2026, as quoted from Antara.
The Phase 1A programme will end on 19 April 2026, while the Phase 1B programme will conclude on 23 April 2026. This national internship programme previously ran for six months in the industrial sector.
Darmawansyah further stated that the six-month experience in industry is an important asset for participants to increase their competitiveness in the job market. “This six-month experience becomes a vital asset for participants to enhance their competitiveness in the job market. Participants are now more work-ready,” he said.
He also appreciated the participants, partner companies, mentors, and programme managers who have supported the implementation of the programme over the past six months. According to him, the internship programme not only provides direct work experience in an industrial environment but also strengthens participants’ hard skills and soft skills, including communication abilities, teamwork, and adaptation in the work environment.
Therefore, Darmawansyah reminded participants not to overlook the important value of that experience. The internship experience, he said, needs to be well documented in CVs or portfolios, so that it truly becomes an added value when participants apply for jobs.
Meanwhile, Head of the Manpower Research and Development Agency at Kemnaker, Anwar Sanusi, explained that Phase I participants are required to complete the final attendance, prepare monthly reports, and fill out questionnaires as conditions for stipend disbursement. The completion of these final stages determines the orderly process of the programme’s closure on 24 April 2026.
In addition to participants, company operators also have important responsibilities during the period of 19–22 April 2026. Operators must prepare internship certificates in the maganghub.kemnaker.go.id menu, including entering the company logo, participant names, and electronic signatures from the directors. Operators must also fill out competency certification reports, placement or recruitment reports if any, and mandatory questionnaires.
During the same period, mentors are also required to approve participants’ daily attendance and reports, approve monthly reports, provide monthly and final grades for participants, complete mentor questionnaires, and submit participants’ stipends after all questionnaires have been submitted.
Furthermore, the government is also preparing online training and competency certification for internship participants. This training serves as preparation before participants undergo competency tests, so they are better prepared and have a greater chance of obtaining competency certificates.
