National Internship Programme Batch 4 to Open in July, Check the Requirements
The government is set to reopen the National Internship Programme (PMN) Batch 4 in July 2026. The programme is aimed at recent university graduates. There are plans for three waves of the internship programme. In the first wave this July, the government is targeting 50,000 participants. “The National Internship Programme Batch 4 will be implemented in stages starting July 2026, with an initial plan of around 50,000 participants in the first wave, then continuing with the second and third waves until reaching a total of 150,000 participants by the end of the year,” said Kurnia, as quoted from a press release on Thursday (24/6/2026). The programme has received broad support from various sectors. Overall, there are 8,056 partner organisations consisting of 5,168 private companies and 2,888 work units from ministries and government agencies. Kurnia explained that throughout the programme’s implementation, the number of partner companies has increased with each batch. “Of all the partners, 874 state-owned enterprise (BUMN) entities are participating as organising partners,” he added. Based on industry mapping, the state-owned banking sector is the largest contributor, providing 1,033 internship programmes. This is followed by the private hospital sector (191 programmes), management consulting (168 programmes), food and beverage trade (167 programmes), and the property and asset management industry (151 programmes). Kurnia explained that the registration process begins with partner companies and agencies opening internship vacancies and submitting requests for the required positions. After that, prospective participants can register through the MagangHub platform by selecting a maximum of two positions that match their interests and field of expertise. “Prospective participants register through the MagangHub platform at maganghub.kemnaker.go.id, by selecting a maximum of two internship positions according to their interests and field of expertise,” he said. After the registration process, the company will conduct a selection and announce the recruitment results through the same platform. Participants who pass will then sign an Internship Agreement and undergo a six-month internship period. During the six-month internship, participants will receive a number of benefits, including a monthly allowance equivalent to the provincial or regency/city minimum wage (UMP/UMK), social security, and an official internship certificate. In addition, participants also have a great opportunity to be directly absorbed as permanent employees at the company where they intern. While participating in the programme, participants are required to fill in daily reports through the monitoring and evaluation system available at monev.maganghub.kemnaker.go.id, which are validated by their respective mentors. After completing the programme, participants will receive an Internship Certificate and have the opportunity to take a competency certification through the SertifHub platform. Requirements for Prospective Participants: The main requirements for registering as a participant in the National Internship Programme Batch 4 are as follows: 1. Indonesian citizen (WNI), officially proven by possession of a Population Identification Number (NIK). 2. A graduate of a diploma, bachelor’s, or professional education programme with a maximum graduation period of one year from the date the diploma was issued. 3. Specifically for holders of professional certificates, the graduation time limit is relaxed to a maximum of two years from the date the diploma or bachelor’s degree was issued. 4. Graduated from a higher education institution officially registered with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology. It was also explained that the first batch of the national internship programme has reached 102,600 participants across Indonesia. The registration process for the national internship programme was divided into four waves, namely Batch I with 14,952 participants, Batch IB with 1,160 participants, Batch II with 62,128 participants, and Batch III with 24,456 participants. A total of 5,063 participants, or about 34 percent of total respondents, have already secured employment after their internship period ended.
