Manpower Minister Yassierli has revealed the evaluation results for the first and second waves of the national internship programme, or Magang Hub, in 2025. The evaluation used a sample of 65,245 internship participants and 7,027 mentors representing participating companies. The results showed that 84% of participants felt very satisfied with the internship programme. “A total of 84% of participants felt very satisfied, 15.9% were quite satisfied, and only 0.71% felt dissatisfied,” Yassierli said during a press conference on the second semester 2026 economic stimulus at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs on Monday (22/6/2026). From the mentors’ perspective, 84% of companies were satisfied with the interns’ ability to absorb knowledge, with only 0.45% expressing dissatisfaction. “From the perspective of mentors and companies, 84% of companies stated they were satisfied and very satisfied, then companies that said they were quite satisfied were 15.42%, and 0.45% of companies said they were dissatisfied,” he continued. Yassierli further detailed that from the interns’ perspective, 52.13% felt very satisfied with the national internship programme and only 0.42% were very dissatisfied. “In more detail, from the interns’ perspective, 52.13% of interns were very satisfied with this programme, 32.13% were satisfied, 15.05% were quite satisfied, 0.29% were dissatisfied, and 0.42% were very dissatisfied,” he explained. Regarding the programme’s impact on the economy of participants or their families, 36.52% said it was very helpful and only 0.35% said it was not helpful at all. “Did this internship programme help the economic condition of participants and/or their families? 36.52% said it was very helpful, this is in line with the Coordinating Minister’s expectations, this is also part of the economic stimulus programme, 30.61% said it was helpful, 30.45% said it was quite helpful, 2.07% said it was not helpful, and 0.35% said it was not helpful at all,” he stated. In terms of competency improvement, Yassierli explained that 47.24% experienced a significant increase and only 0.05% saw no improvement in their competencies. “How much did the participants’ technical competencies improve from start to finish? If we combine the categories of very improved, improved, and quite improved, the figure approaches 98.5%, where only 0.05% of interns did not experience an increase in competence,” he said. Regarding companies offering jobs after the internship programme ended, he said 30% of companies offered new jobs after the internship. “Did the company offer a job? 30% offered, but there were participants who refused because they had already accepted offers at other companies, 33.05% said they had not been offered a job yet but there were indications, and 37.26% said they were not offered a job until the internship programme ended,” Yassierli revealed. The sectors most in demand by interns who received job offers were the financial sector at 26.8%, wholesale trade at 18.3%, manufacturing at 15.7%, health at 8.3%, and the information technology sector at 5.1%.
