The Government through the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) has opened a National Command Post for the ESDM sector as a centre for monitoring and coordinating energy services during the homecoming period and Eid al-Fitr 2026 celebrations. The command post is expected to serve as a reliable information hub for fuel (BBM), LPG, electricity, and geological disaster risk information during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr. The homecoming command post will operate for 20 days from 12 March to 31 March 2026, located at the BPH Migas building.

Deputy Minister of ESDM Yuliot Tanjung stated that the National Command Post for the ESDM Sector serves as a coordination centre for relevant agencies and an information hub for the public and stakeholders to obtain needed information.

“Nationally, the availability of fuel and LPG for the needs of Eid al-Fitr 1447 H is very adequate,” said Yuliot in a statement on Friday (13/3).

Erika Retnowati, Head of the National Command Post for the ESDM Sector during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 2026, emphasised the importance of synergy between institutions. The aim is to ensure the command post operates smoothly and provides useful information to the public, as expected by the Deputy Minister of ESDM.

“In implementing the National Command Post for the ESDM Sector, it is important for us to work synergistically to ensure the command post runs smoothly. This synergy should include not only internal command post members, but also synergy with other stakeholders, such as Korlantas Polri, regarding routes with restrictions or congestion points,” said Erika.

During the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr command post period, BPH Migas together with Pertamina have deployed 125 fuel terminals, 7,885 petrol stations, and 72 fuel supply points, as well as additional facilities in high-demand regions.

The projected dynamics of fuel demand during the command post period show that petrol is estimated to increase by around 12.0 percent compared to normal conditions, whilst diesel is expected to fall by around 14.5 percent. Meanwhile, jet fuel demand is estimated to increase 2.8 percent and kerosene to rise approximately 4.2 percent compared to normal realisation.

For LPG, the Directorate General of Oil and Gas together with Pertamina have deployed 40 LPG terminals, 757 LPG fuel supply points, and 6,662 LPG distributors. The prognosis for national LPG stock resilience is in the range of 12-15 days. This stock level is maintained stable during the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 2026 period, supported by distributors and LPG bases on 24-hour standby, particularly in high-demand regions.

On the same occasion, Pertamina ensured the availability of national energy supplies, particularly fuel and LPG, in safe condition during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 1447 H. To ensure smooth distribution of energy during this period, Pertamina has also activated a Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr Task Force that runs from 9 March to 1 April 2026.

PT Pertamina (Persero) Director General Simon Aloysius Mantiri stated that the company continues to strengthen operational readiness and services to the public so that energy needs during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr can be adequately met.

“Pertamina ensures that fuel and LPG stock availability is in safe condition for Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr. We also continue to ensure that services to the public run optimally through energy distribution networks spread throughout Indonesia,” said Simon.

In addition, Pertamina has prepared various additional services in priority regions, areas expected to experience surges in energy consumption during the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr period.

“Several additional services we have prepared include Pertamina Delivery Service (PDS) motorcyclists who can deliver fuel when traffic jams occur on the road, as well as tanker trucks deployed at various strategic points to ensure energy distribution continues to run smoothly,” said Simon.

“On the other hand, Pertamina also continues to strengthen national energy infrastructure, including exploring potential cooperation in developing energy storage facilities to increase national energy resilience,” he concluded.
