Myanmar signs gold contract
YANGON (Reuter): Myanmar's Ministry of Mines and the Pacific
Arc Exploration Co of Australia have signed production sharing
contracts on exploration of alluvial gold deposits in Myanmar,
official media reported yesterday.
Under the contracts signed in Yangon on Tuesday, the state-
owned Burmese No.2 Mining Enterprise and Pacific Arc Exploration
will carry out exploration of deposits in the Irrawaddy valley at
Mansi, central Burma.
