Muba Police Chief Inaugurates Community-Built Police Partnership Post in Rimba Ukur Village
The Musi Banyuasin (Muba) Police Chief, AKBP God Parlasro Sinaga, officially inaugurated a Community Police Partnership Post (BKPM) in Rimba Ukur Village. The post, built entirely through community self-funding, stands as a tangible symbol of the synergy between the police and local residents in maintaining neighbourhood security.
The solemn inauguration ceremony was marked by the signing of an inscription plaque by the Muba Police Chief. In attendance were Muba Deputy Police Chief KOMPOL Iwan Wahyudi, senior Muba police officials, the Sekayu Sector Police Chief, community leaders, religious figures, youth representatives, and the Vice Chairman of the Muba branch of the Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI).
Rimba Ukur Village Head Pi'u expressed his deep appreciation to the Police Chief and his team for coming directly to the community. He also conveyed his hope that AIPDA Perlindungan Pane would be appointed as Head of the Rimba Ukur BKPM Post.
"I am very grateful for the presence of the Police Chief and his team. On behalf of the community, we request that AIPDA Perlindungan Pane be appointed as BKPM Head. We hope that with this post, security in Rimba Ukur Village will be better maintained," said Village Head Pi'u.
In his address, the Muba Police Chief praised the spirit of mutual cooperation shown by Rimba Ukur residents who independently built the BKPM post. "I am truly impressed by the solidarity of the Rimba Ukur community. This post has been built at a highly strategic location, namely the crossroads connecting three sub-districts: Sungai Keruh, Plakat Tinggi, and Sekayu," he said.
AKBP God Parlasro emphasised that the post's existence is concrete proof that security and order are not solely the responsibility of the police, but also reflect the concern and active participation of the community.
"The police cannot work alone. Community participation is crucial to the success of maintaining public order and security. This post is expected to become a centre for partnership, service, and community development," he added.
With the inauguration of this BKPM post, it is hoped that closer ties will be forged between the police and the community, further strengthening joint efforts to maintain security and comfort in the Musi Banyuasin Regency, particularly in the border area of the three sub-districts.
