Mt. Gamalama coughs again
AMBON, Maluku: Mt. Gamalama on Ternate island, North Maluku, emitted volcanic ash on Wednesday, forcing an Ambon-bound plane to delay its flight.
"The plane was delayed because the ash has reduced visibility," an officer of the Bouraq airliner said.
The volcanology office here said it has assigned a team to closely monitor the activities of the volcano which has been belching smoke between five to 20 times a day over the past week. (arf)
